Follow along below for the wiring steps involved in a typical Bears Beware install.

1. 01Install all the modules at the desired strategic locations.
   
   Important note: By their keen sense of smell, bears are attracted to ANY opening into your house. Strategic placement of the modules along THESE openings is Paramount.
2. 02Mount the energizer close to an electric outlet.
3. 03Strip and connect the shock wire to the energizer.
4. 04Lay down the shock wire from the energizer to the last module location.
5. 05Beginning at the first module from the energizer, cut a section of wire to stretch from the module to the shock wire (plus 5 inches).
6. 06Insert the module wire beneath the blacked levers on the module. See fig. 1

1Insert the shock wire into the black tabs on each end of the module. The scent pad sits in the center.

2The module wire splices into the shock wire on each side using the splice block.

3At junctions with three wires, all three land in a single connector.
