Is it legal to bait a bear to protect your house?

Yes! it's legal to use bait for the purpose of protecting your house with this harmless deterrent shock.

What's the disadvantage with unwelcome mats?

In addition to shocking the bears, mats will shock barefoot people and pets, and your pets will hate your doorways. Then when you turn OFF your mats, you'll need to remember to turn them back ON — otherwise, you will have no protection!

What's the disadvantage with electric fences around your home?

Besides blocking passage through your doorways, the bare wires are unsightly, making your house look like a prison!

Will this hurt or harm the animal?

No. The pulse is a brief, low-current startle, similar in principle to a livestock fence, tuned for the size and coat of the animals it's built to deter. It's designed to be memorable, not injurious.

Does it require an electrician to install?

No. The energizer plugs into a standard outlet and the pulse is carried by insulated wire throughout.

Where do the modules go?

Along all of the openings into the structure. Doors, windows, garage doors, or crawl spaces.

What happens in freezing temperatures?

The unit is UL listed for outdoor use and the housing holds up through winter. Since it's plugged into a standard outlet, there's no battery life to worry about in cold weather.
